Optimal Control of Nonlinear Multivariable Systems
This paper concerns a study on the optimal control for nonlinear systems. An appropriate alternative in order to alleviate the nonlinearity of a system is the exact linearization approach. In this fashion, the nonlinear system has been linearized using input-output feedback linearization (IOFL). Then, by utilizing the well developed optimal control theory of linear systems, the compensated ...
متن کاملVerification of Basic Block Schedules Using RTL Transformations
We present an approach to aid in debugging/development of scheduling algorithm implementations. Our technique makes use of a sequence of a correctness-preserving RTL transformation called Register Transfer Split (RTS), to collectively perform the same task as that of a scheduler. Violation of the transformation precondition signals an error and the sequence of RTS transformations applied so far...
متن کاملThe polar decomposition of block companion matrices
Let L(λ) = Inλ m + Am−1λm−1 + · · ·+ A1λ + A0 be an n× n monic matrix polynomial, and let CL be the corresponding block companion matrix. In this note, we extend a known result on scalar polynomials to obtain a formula for the polar decomposition of CL when the matrices A0 and Pm−1 j=1 AjA ∗ j are nonsingular.
متن کاملBlock-decoupling linear multivariable systems: necessary and sufficient conditions
We study block decoupling of linear multivariable systems under unity-feedback configuration. We consider plants which have unstable pole-zero coincidences and give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the block decoupling controllers. The conditions are particularly simple for plants with only simple unstable pole-zero coincidences. An illustrative example is given.
متن کاملOn integrability of a class of block-triangular evolution systems
In the present paper we prove the integrability (in the sense of existence of formal symmetry of infinite rank) for a class of (1+1)-dimensional evolution systems generalizing the triangular systems considered by Bakirov, Beukers, Sanders and Wang, and by Sanders and van der Kamp. The important consequence of this result is the existence of formal symmetry of infinite rank for “almost integrabl...
